Toasted Sandwich Without Bread...!!!

If u want to make sandwich and bread is not available you can make use of this technique anytime. This sandwich is a very healthy and quick snack, give it a try and i am sure you all will like its taste.And believe me making it is a real fun...:-)




INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups besan (chickpea flour)
  • 1 cup finely chopped spinach
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 tea spoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tea spoon chili powder
  • 1 tea spoon garam masala
  • 1/2 tea spoon dry mango powder(amchur)
  • pinch of baking soda
  • salt
  • oil

METHOD:


Take besan in a bowl, add chopped spinach,onion, ginger-garlic paste,salt,chili powder, amchur and garam masala.Add water and make a thick batter by mixing it well.


Heat a electric sandwich toaster and  grease inside of it all over with oil.Add soda to the batter and mix it.Now when the toaster is heated properly pour the batter in it till it fills it properly. Close the toaster and let the sandwich get cooked for 6-7 mins.


After few mins check if its done.It should be brown and little crispy.If done remove it from  toaster carefully and serve hot with ketchup.


Preparation Time: 10 mins.

Mushroom Cheese Chili Toasted Sandwiches...!!!

This Toasted sandwiches are very healthy and tasty ones.The uniqueness of this sandwiches is that in this I have added two layers of different healthy stuffings which makes them very filling.These toasted sanwiches will not only be loved by kids but also by adults.




INGREDIENTS:


For Stuffing 1:

  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 1 cup grated beetroot
  • 2-3 tea spoons white vinegar
  • 1-2 tea spoon sugar
  • salt

For Stuffing 2:

  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 cup blanched sweet corns
  • 1/2 cup capsicum slices(thin n long)
  • 1/2 cup onion sliced
  • 2 green chili's chopped
  • 2 table spoon tomato ketchup
  • 1 table spoon butter
  • 2 tea spoon chili flakes
  • 2-3 tea spoon chopped garlic
  • 2 table spoon fresh cream(optional)
  • salt

Main Ingredients:

  • 8-10 brown bread slices
  • butter
  • few pimento stuffed olives
  • toothpicks

METHOD:


Mix all the ingredients listed under stuffing 1 and keep aside for 20 mins.Then heat a pan and add butter in it.Add chopped garlic and saute for 2 mins, then add sliced onions and green chili's and saute till the onions turns brown.


Now add sliced capsicum, sweet corns and saute for 2 mins. Add sliced mushrooms and saute till they are done, close and cook for 2 mins.Add salt, tomato ketchup, fresh cream,chili flakes and mix well.Remove from fire and add grated cheese and mix.


Take the mixture of stuffing 1 and then squeeze it to remove all the water from it.Take bread slices and apply butter and then add a layer of mushroom cheese stuffing on it and on top of that stuffing add  a layer of beetroot-carrot stuffing.Close it with the other bread slice.Apply butter on both the outer sides of the sandwich. Cut each sandwich into two triangles.


Heat a pan and toast this sandwiches till they are brown  and crisp on both the sides.Take a toothpick and prick a stuffed olive on top of it and prick the toasted sandwich with it.


Serve hot.

Sandwiched Chicken Bread Pizza...!!!

This is a very tasty and easy to prepare snack. I have named it sandwiched pizza, cause the stuffing inside the bread is arranged in a pizza manner which gives the main taste to this snack.I am sure this snack will be loved by all .Vegetarians can skip chicken and use paneer or soya chunks instead it.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 hard crust breads (Pav)
  • 250 grams boneless chicken pieces
  • 1 table spoon ginger-garlic-chili-coriander paste
  • 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder
  • 2 onions sliced
  • 2 green bell peppers sliced
  • 200 grams grated cheese
  • 1 tea spoon chili powder
  • 1 tea spoon garam masala(optional)
  • 2 tea spoon soya sauce
  • 1 tea spoon chili sauce
  • 2 tea spoon dry oregano
  • 1/2 cup tomato-chili sauce(or ketchup)
  • salt
  • oil



METHOD:


Apply turmeric powder and  ginger-garlic-green chilli-paste to chicken pieces and keep for 20 mins.Cook them till done.Shred them into small pieces.


Heat little oil in a pan and add sliced onion in it and saute it for 2 mins. Then add chopped capsicum and saute it for 3-4 mins till both are done.Now add the shredded cooked chicken in it and mix well.Add chilli powder, chilli sauce, soya sauce and garam masala and salt and stir well.Remove from flame.


Take each bread and give a cut to it in the center till the end.Apply tomato sauce on the lower inside side of it. Spread a layer of prepared chicken onion mixture on it.Sprinkle little dry oregeno on it. Then lastly sprinkle lot of cheese on it.


Grill it in a oven till the cheese melts and the sides of bread become light brown.Close it like a sandwich and serve hot.

Crispy Prawns Toast With Oriental Chilli Garlic sauce...!!!

Today i am back with a very crispy and different snack recipe " prawns toast".This is one of the tasty, quick and simple snack recipe from my collection.Prawns binded with spring onions and coriander and flavoured with mild spices gives a very nice taste.Also roasted sesame seeds add the extra crunch to it.This toasts taste best with this oriental chilli garlic sauce.



INGREDIENTS:


For Prawns Toast:

  • 1 cup medium sized prawns (cleaned and deveined)
  • 5-6 bread slices
  • 1 1/2 cup spring onion greens and white chopped
  • 7-8 garlic cloves
  • 1 table spoon coriander leaves
  • 1/2 beaten egg
  • 2-3 tea spoons chinese red chilli sauce
  • 3 tea spoons bread crumbs( or corn flour if deep frying)
  • 3 tea spoons roasted sesame seeds
  • 1/4 tea spoon pepper powder
  • salt
  • oil

For Oriental Chilli Garlic Sauce:

  • 1 cup tomato ketchup
  • 2 tea spoon chopped garlic
  • 1 tea spoon chilli flakes
  • 1 table spoon chopped spring onion greens
  • 1 tea spoon soya sauce
  • 2 tea spoon chilli sauce
  • oil



METHOD:


Add little salt and cook the prawns along with little  water.Let them cool.Now in a small mixie put this dry cooked prawns,chopped spring onion whites and greens,chopped coriander leaves and garlic cloves.Grind this mixture very coursely without using any water.


In this grinded mixture add 1/2 beaten egg,red chilli sauce,salt, pepper powder and bread crumbs or corn flour.sesame seeds and mix it well.Bread crumbs and egg is added to bind the mixture well.


Take each bread slice and cut it in two halves.Apply the above mixture to one side of each bread half.Heat little oil in a pan and shallow fry this bread slices till crispy on both sides.While putting them to fry always put the side with prawns paste to cook first.You can even deep fry this sides, but i avoided it and did shallow fry.


Now meanwhile you can prepare the sauce.Heat a small deep pan and add little oil in it.Add chopped garlic,chilli flakes and spring onions in it and saute until garlic becomes light brown.You can add pinch of salt while sauting it..Then add tomato ketchup, soya sauce,chilli sauce and little water and cook for 2-3 min until it starts boiling.Oriental Chilli Garlic Sauce is ready.


Serve this crisp prawns toast with this oriental chilli-garlic sauce.

Veg Grilled Sandwitch...!!!

I was staying in pune for last 8-9 months.Pune city is famous for many things. Its also famous for the restaurants or small cafes which are present there. Roadside snacks are also very famous over there like vada pav, pakodas, sandwitches,dabelis etc.There was one sandwitch wala opposite to the building where i used to stay. He used to make awesome grilled sandwitches garnished with sev and cheese.I have tasted many grilled sandwiches in many restaurants but till now , not even one sandwitch tasted like his. His were just superb.Me and my friends used to love them. Now i am in goa from past few months and i realy miss those sandwitches. So few days before i decided to try them at home. I used to see him making them many times.So i followed it. It became very tasty, my attempt did not fail.Its taste was almost close to his.-:))

INGREDIENTS:

8 sandwitch bread slices
1 cucumber
1 boiled potato
1 tomato
butter
chat masala
pepper powder
salt
1 cup shev
1 cheese cube
1/2 cup tomato sauce


METHOD:

Cut the cucumber, tomato, potato into thin round slices.

Remove the sides of the bread slices.Take two slices.Apply butter on each slice.Now apply the corainder mint chutney above the butter on each slice.

Layer potato,tomato and cucumber on one bread slice. Keep 4 slices of each on one layer.sprinkle some salt, pepper powder and chat masala in between each layer if you want spicy or above all layers.

Grill it in a toaster till it becomes light brown and crispy.

Remove it when done. Cut into two halves.Apply little sauce on top of it.Then sprinkle lot of sev on it.Grate cheese freshly over it.

Serve Hot...
