Breadfruit is a common vegetable is goa. It tastes realy nice, its soft and bit sweet. It is also used to make some other dishes . Chips like potato chips, banana chips are very common among us, but have u tried making bread fruit chips any time?...just give it a try. They are the most tastiest chips i have ever tasted. One of my friend had told me that chips made from breadfruits tastes nice, so i decided to try this. This chips are realy crispy and tasty. They are not availabe in markets like potato and banana chips, may be coz many people are not aware that tasty chips can also be made from breadfruits.Just give it a try and see. Those who do not know how bread fruit looks, i have put a pic below.

A cut breadfruit looks like below.

INGREDIENTS:

1 breadfruit
3 table spoon salt
2 table spoon pepper powder(optional)
4 table spoon chilli powder(optional)
oil

METHOD:

Cut the bread fruit in small pieces. Make thin chips of this pieces. They shoud not be too thin or thick. Make 2 mm thickness to each chips.

Heat oil in kadia. Deep fry this chips on low to medium flame till light golden brown.Remove on a paper to soak oil.

Spinkle salt, chilli powder or salt and pepper powder. I like combination of salt and pepper more campared to chilli powder.

Let them cool. Store in air-tight container. They remain good for many days like other chips.

NOTE: Do not make the chips to much thick or else they do not fry properly and become soft.
